You are the tickle in my underpants? Dude, stop sneaking into dudes pants.

Also, this is the most ridiculous post in the history of the internet. The pens won the division whilst playing almost half the season w/out Sid. He had as much to do with winning the division as you do with a gay pride parade; Sure, he's part of it, but he wasn't the only one in the movement.

You think that because people take shots at Sid and get called for it is the reason the pens won the division? You're a clown.

I never said the treatment Sid gets helped them win the division...

Malkin did that for them.

Was your own hockey beat writer so crazy for suggesting trading Sid and building around Malkin...?

You are a total tool. How many games do you watch? Crosby takes plenty of hits. He doesn't shy from contact if it's necessary to make a play. If you're going to piss and moan about it, try to get your facts straight. He was in the scrums last night. He plays physical, considering he's a skill player. You don't know what you're talking about man.

And the trade Crosby thing has been a joke in Pittsburgh since Malkin emerged. No one seriously considers it. It was more of a compliment to how well Malkin is playing.

Ya Dope!

That's my whole point.

Crosby dips into scrums and tries to play physical... and then runs away when confronted... or 10 of his players/refs step in front him.

He's untouchable.

He can do whatever he wants...

Hartnell ran away after ripping his helmet off after the whistle. Why wasn't that called on Hartnell if no one can touch Crosby? Where was the league-wide conspiracy there "ya big dope?" Your entire premise is so faulty it's not even worth serious consideration.

Teammates protecting their star player?!?!? Are you serious dude?!?!?! When did that start happening in the NHL? What an outrage! That's so unprecedented it makes me sick! Crosby should be ashamed of himself.

Didn't Crosby take a roughing penalty for mixing it up with Kukkonen? Did he run away there? If the league gives him preferential treatment, why did he get a penalty?

All star players get the benefit of the doubt. It's been that way ever since I started watching hockey in the late '80s. Stop crying about it.

R*G*B* said...

Did you notice how quickly the referees descended upon that "fight" between Crosby and Kukkonen...?

So fast in fact... that they couldn't fight.

If you look at the replay, you'll see Crosby didn't even have both his gloves off.

Basically the refs rescued him.

If it was the real deal, they wouldn't have gone for roughing... but rather 5 min fighting majors.

I never said that Sid is un-penalized... I just said he's protected like an endangered species.

Kinda like when he tripped Biron in a loss to the Flyers earlier in the year... and then your coach wouldn't let him off the bench to pay for it.

Refs break up altercations to prevent fights quite often, and not just ones involving a star player. Sometimes they want to keep a game from getting out of control. That's a very legitimate concern in a game involving two heated rivals with playoff implications.

And what about Hartnell running away after he mugged Crosby after the whistle? What do you have to say about that? Furthermore, where was the endangered species protection?

Again, what is so shocking about refs watching out for star players? You still haven't answered that. You act like Crosby is the only player in the history of the NHL to draw calls and get what some perceive to be protective treatment. And why did Crosby get beat up so much in his first year if he had the league watching out for him?

Don't get me started on the game in December. That thing was so out of hand by the time the incident with Biron happened. There was no point in playing any of our skill guys. And what about Ben Eager's elbow on Laraque? Wasn't that a blown call? But I thought we had the refs in our pockets? What happened there?

I know all about hating the Golden Boy. I'm a Steelers fan so I'm sure you can imagine how I feel about Tom Brady. If you don't like Crosby, fine. I take issue with idiots like you trying to rationalize your personal dislike and turn it into some general truth that people need to realize. You distort reality to try and back up your opinion and in the process you fuel some very virulent and distressing hatred. Have you seen what people say about this kid? There are people out there that wish for for death or seriously bodily harm to befall him. That's pathetic. You lend to it by suggesting that there is some league-backed agenda to hand the Penguins the cup and hype up Crosby. Do you think the league fixed the Winter Classic so that Crosby could win on a shootout, too?

I don't blame you for not liking Crosby. The Flyers have a lot of question marks and it looks right now like the Pens will win another Stanley Cup before the Flyers do. Just say you hate him and leave it at that. Stop making up ridiculous conspiracy theories.

You need to take off your Broad Street Bullies colored glasses & step out of the '70's & into todays NHL...Holmgren kinda gets it by signing Briere [emphasis on SCORING goals instead of DROPPING the gloves] that move really hasn't worked out 100% so far, but he could come around.
Anyways, why would I want Sidney to fight, possibly get hurt, & be in the penalty box for 5+ minutes, taking our best player off the ice???....makes no sense to me. That's what Laraque,Ruutu,Gill get paid to do. Why risk your franchise player to fight a 3rd pair d-man. Real smart.

Maybe that's the type of hockey you guys prefer over there. Maybe that's why it's been over 30 years without a Cup, as well.

I took off my orange and black glasses.

Now I can't see anything.

I don't want Sidney Crosby to fight. He obviously isn't any good at it. But I don't want him to instigate and get away with it. I don't want him to whack away at goalies and players after the whistle, get confronted by a player like Hartnell who DESERVED a penalty, throw punches along with whoever the other Penguin was that came to save him... and not get a penalty. Its called even it up.

No 5 on 3. No easy Sidney goal. Put him and Hartnell in the box along with Coburn. Have a 5 on 4.

I don't have any problem with the equally horrible officiating throughout the game other than that specific point in time.

And I don't dislike the Penguins as a team. I really enjoyed the Malkin lead Penguins. But ever since Crosby's return, Malkin takes a back seat... and Sidney instigates, gets the benefit of the doubt on offensive rushes. The kind where he pins a defenseman's stick to his chest and draws a hooking penalty.

Now if you'll excuse me, I need to work on some non-crappy (Pensblog)Photoshop images about Crosby.

The thing we enjoy about the Pens Blog photoshops is the choppy, cut-up, slap and paste look about them.

We don't need your "art".

Keep it in your little LiveJournal.

Flyers fans are jealous of Malkin Crosby and they sure as hell will be jealous of our new jersey's next season. Enjoy your bone head players and enjoy your orange and black halloween colored "P" with wings.
